After years of surveying land in the Napa Valley, Louis Ciminelli laid the groundwork for what we at Impensata are now blessed to reap the benefits. With the establishment of Laelius Winegrowing in 2015, we have two picturesque estate vineyards at our fingertips: the historic Engelhard Vineyard in the western hills of Calistoga and the family’s crown jewel, the newly developed Ciminelli Vineyard on the peak of Howell Mountain. Impensata is also honored to source from two additional Howell Mountain sites: the esteemed Ecotone Vineyard, formerly known as Thorevilos, and David Abreu’s Las Posadas Vineyard.
