David purchased the 22-acre property in 2000 and, in 2002, planted its first vines, 15 acres of predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot. The textbook Red Aiken Howell Mountain soil is layered over white tufa, producing wines with great power, structure, intensity, and ageability.
